Distribution of Vegetable Baskets to 200 Families

“Vegetable Basket”

The “Vegetable Basket” project was a humanitarian initiative of the Palestinian General Union of People with Disabilities to support people in need—particularly people with disabilities—in emergency situations. The objective was to rapidly ensure basic provisions by providing food assistance.

The project was implemented in accordance with the Union’s internal financial and procurement regulations, which permitted direct procurement from suitable companies in humanitarian emergencies. The selection of suppliers was based on clear criteria such as legal registration, financial capacity, and demonstrated experience in the humanitarian sector.

Thanks to funding from HCI – Help & Charity International, a total of 200 vegetable baskets were delivered. These contained a balanced selection of fresh vegetables and staple foods according to established quality standards.

The project contributed to strengthening social solidarity, preserving the dignity of those affected, and ensuring efficient crisis assistance in the region.
