Drinking Water Supply Project in Taroudant

As part of the drinking water supply and wastewater disposal project for 18 villages in the municipality of Tissfane, the Tamounte Union, in collaboration with the German NGOs Help & Charity International (HCI) and Senior Experten Service (SES), carried out a detailed topographical study.

The objective of this mission was to collect and analyse the technical data required for the optimal planning of the water and wastewater infrastructure. The work included, in particular:

  • Topographical surveys of the affected sites
  • Identification of natural and technical constraints
  • Defining the preliminary route alignments of the networks
  • Preparation of plans and technical baseline documents.

During this mission, Heinrich Thiemann, the SES expert, was on site from 19 October 2025 to 9 November 2025, providing technical support and expert advice in monitoring and managing the work.

It should also be noted that the non-governmental organisation Help & Charity International (HCI) planned, organised and financed the implementation of this study, thereby making a significant contribution to the completion of this important preparatory phase.

The results of this study are an important step in ensuring the technical feasibility, efficiency and sustainability of the project. This initiative is part of a local development approach aimed at improving the living conditions of the beneficiary population through sustainable access to drinking water and adequate sanitation facilities.
