Solar Energy: Water for Douar Tigdiyine Village, Morocco

In Douar Tigdiyine, a solar pumping system was installed between November and December 2021 to ensure sustainable and affordable access to water. The project was initiated after an extended preparatory phase and made possible by external funding.

Through the use of photovoltaics, the previously costly electrical pumping system was completely replaced. The implementation was carried out by the Association AL AMAL TIGDYINE in close coordination with the Kollektiv Associatif Taroudant. Representatives from HCI – Help & Charity International were on-site during the implementation, providing expert supervision and support for the project.

Today, the villagers benefit from a reliable and environmentally friendly water supply with significantly reduced operating costs.
