Between November 20 and December 8, 2024, a project was implemented to repair 32 emergency shelter tents for displaced people in Khan Younis and the central area. The aim was to improve the living conditions of the affected families and to better protect the tents against rain and winter weather.
The project was carried out by the Social Developmental Forum and made possible thanks to funding from HCI – Help & Charity International, which had collected the donations. People with disabilities were a particular focus.
The measures included weatherproof tarpaulins, high-quality nylon fabrics, and stabilising the tent structures, and despite difficult conditions led to a significant improvement in safety for the 32 affected families.
